Holy Power

Winds were gust-crazy, trees were flying, and power lines went down. The whole town was without electricity or heat, leaving this New Hampshire resort of creatives using pens by candle light, miffed and huddled together for warmth.

Except one Mitchissmo, the only one mysteriously with power.

Yippee, 2006!!


Four hours later:

God, hearing Mitchissmo's gloating, sent another pine tree crashing down, snapping her power and reinforcing the lessons:

1. thou shall not compare yourself to others for your happiness or misery
2. be thankful for what you have, because you never know when it will be taken away
3. (and on that note) God giveth, and God taketh away
4. don't get all superstitious and declare a whole year good or bad because of what a tree can do. [insert forest and tree sayings]
